It shows that sharepoint spend at least ~350 milliseconds (or 0,35 sec*4900 tasks = 1715 sec, or 28,five min) for each task update during project publication. And we also have another log file that shows that most 0,seven sec (or 0,7 sec*4900 tasks = 3430 sec, or 57 min) sharepoint spend for save each chore in project file to project server. So total save and publication time more then lx+ minutes for that project file. The same upshot nosotros take even if user didn't do any changes at the projection file.
We use only enterprise projects (dbo.MSP_EpmProject_UserView.projectvisibilitymode = «False»), and do non use sharepoint tasks lists, but the synchronization betwixt MSP Plan and SharePoint tasks list works at any example.

I use 2 monitors, my laptop and an extra monitor. I want to take two separate instances of MS Project (2010) open, one in each monitor, and so I tin can view both together. I've been unable to reach this. Anyone know how?

This in turn causes PWA client timeouts\errors as there is no available retentivity to procedure other requests. I've checked ULS while this is occurring and the following entry is logged thousands of times "GetSecurityChangesFromSharePoint : Site Id = '77415162-5a9c-461e-9c36-6f5aded60c4b'. db id = '4fed8194-d804-47aa-ba81-58e92a168c03'. Even though nosotros are load balanced users connecting to the second WFE may still experience slow response while the crawl is running. I don't think seeing this behavior prior to installing the September 2014 CU. I've checked all the published CUs afterwards September 2014 and it isn't mentioned equally a fix in whatever of them. The only way I can encounter to prevent this is to disable the Projection site sync feature and so practise manual syncs equally needed. This is manifestly not a fix as I have no desire to be a sync monkey.
If I don't get any helpful responses from this forum I volition open up a ticket with Microsoft as this is non desirable beliefs.

Trying to figure out how to enter time for resources that dont have access to PWA
I am fairly new to Project Online and have configured about of my server settings. I have created a projection and set the enterprise resources then published the projection to PWA. In one case there the users with Project lite and project managers tin can run into the tasks that take been assigned to them and in that location fourth dimension sheets likewise brandish the tasks. I can't seem to figure a manner to enter time in for all the other resource that practise not have some sort of subscription. Well-nigh of these resource are labor positions and do not take access to a computer to input their time. This would need to be done daily past the store supervisor. Some details:
- On Bounds instance, non Office 365
- The continued sites are not sub sites of other project sites
- Service Pack one and Feb 2015 CU has been installed
- User Profile service is running and all AD accounts be
- Not all projects have the mistake
- Switched on verbose logging and no AD account is flagged.
- I of the projects doing this only has a single global resources that is not even an AD user.
- Distributed cache is running and properly connected with App Fabric
Any suggestions on how to resolve this?
I switched of the "User Sync settings" for now not to get the mistake notification not to be emailed to the PM's.

Unable to change Task Start/End Dates

(Project Server 2013 w/ SP1 + December CU)
Nosotros have found a programme that has a task with erroneous start/stop dates x/ten/32 etc. The task has no planned piece of work or actual work nor does it have any dependencies or external links.
When we effort to reset the dates, we go a message from project server stating that the changes cannot be made as Project Server is gear up to allow only actual work be entered through timesheets or my piece of work.I have tried to replicate this in another plan with the same constraints etc simply I cannot.
The message is the aforementioned from project Spider web App and project prof.
Any ideas?

Bulk Update Project Sites (PS2010) Non Working
Hey folks, I've a problem where I click on an Issue of a Project, and I get the dreaded "File Non Found" SP/PS error. Per documentation, running the Majority Update Project Sites tool should resolve the trouble for those projection sites. Unfortunately, a number of sites that have Issues still show this problem.
Of involvement is that prior to this problem, an AAM alter was done, for example,www.my-domain.com to world wide web.mydomain.com. The errors related to the higher up are due to the Issue still looking for thewww.my-domain.com/pwa site, which no longer exists.
It looks like an AAM change also caused this outcome...but I'm not 100% certain.
Has anyone seen behavior like this?
Tin information exist changed directly in the databases to facilitate the new URL? If then, which URL?

Project Server 2013 Note Field Effect
Hullo Experts. I have a Projection Server 2013 event every bit follows: we are seeing the task "Notes" field in the PWA site being cutting off and, instead of the older notes, we meet wierd characters such as "05-30-13 SDP1. I am hoping someone can assist with the mistake nosotros are encountering when trying to edit a project from the PWA in Project Server 2013. I can click on the projection name and go to the detail page and I tin can click and run into the schedule. Notwithstanding, if I click on a task in the schedule and endeavour to edit it, I receive the post-obit fault:
'An mistake occurred while opening your project. Give us a few minutes and endeavour once more. If this happens once more, contact your administrator.'
At this point I must click cancel twice to get rid of the error popular-upwardly message. At this bespeak, I am no longer able to look at the schedule of the project either. Can someone assistance with this issue?
